Project Manager
Description
Project Managers work closely with our specialists in our Technology and Strategy teams to deliver results to our customers.
Extensive travel (60-80%) is required.
Responsibilities
- Leads multi disciplinary teams of Java Developers, Database architects, Business analysts, strategy and transition specialists.
- Works with the client stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered in specification and on time.
- Manages all aspects of project: scope, risk, schedule, budget, quality, and communication.
- Prepare project documentation: Project plans, Project charters, Status reports, Risk Assessment plans, Change Requests, Resource Requests
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of the project life-cycle providing coaching, motivation, inspiration.
- Participate in internal PMO programs including post project reviews, internal process initiatives and ongoing improvement practices.
- Work closely with the Client Strategists, communicate with clients and teams on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood.
- Responsible for project revenue management and reporting.
- Manage all project related requests with the client.
- Effectively interact with all levels of client management.
- Participate in creating project proposals by preparing of project budgets and related materials.
- Leverage project knowledge and client relationships to assist in revenue growth within the account.
- Act as company advocate and embody the Spindrift values.
- Attainment of personal utilization requirements.
Knowledge and experience requirements
- A minimum of four years in a project leadership/management role and experience managing multi-phased complex Java technology projects.
- Minimum of two years working in bleeding edge Java e-commerce environments.
- Direct experience in one or more of defined project methodologies(PRINCE2, Agile etc.).
- Excellent client relationship building skills with diverse departments both internally and externally.
- Good solid experience of Java Development (J2EE) project lifecycles within the enterprise space. ATG experience would be nice.
- Understanding of technology infrastructures and Internet technologies.
- A track record delivering complex projects on time and on budget while maintaining effective client and team relationships.
- In depth knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes.
- Highly developed communication, presentation, leadership, facilitation and negotiation skills.
