ATG Technical Lead
Description
Works on ATG product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit projects. Design complexity may vary from fairly straight forward to moderately complex, with single or multiple products and involve multiple computer environments. Expertise and work efforts focus primarily on delivering architectural, technical design, development and deployment services on engagements ranging from short-term consulting to client/partner project teams to full life-cycle implementation projects. Duties usually performed at customer's site. Operates under minimal supervision on medium to large size projects involving multiple products and/or platforms.
Extensive travel (60-80%) is required.
Responsibilities
- Works on medium to large-sized, single or multi-product projects, usually with multiple computer environments where design is complex.
- Analyzes customers' business requirements and software/product objectives; develops an application design in products to meet customers' needs.
- Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of the ATG product suite to define, build and deploy online CRM applications.
- Estimates time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables.
- Establishes criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs.
- Participate on project teams in the design, development and deployment of custom e-commerce and relationship management solutions.
- Conducts periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. Performs re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project.
- Contributes to the growth of Spindrift business through the creation and sharing of knowledge and best practices based on engagement experiences.
- Prepares status reports on all project activities.
- 20% Other internal and external consulting projects as assigned.
Knowledge and experience requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Mathematics, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in software design, systems integration and development or consulting.
- Must have previous experience of working on ATG products.
- Experience in Java, Object Oriented programming and Multi-Threaded programming is required.
- Experience with J2EE and Multi-Tier Internet Architecture is a plus.
- Understanding of SQL, Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), HTTP, HTML and XML is desired.
- Requires the ability to establish solid working relationships with clients, plus the ability to work effectively as a virtual member of a dynamic, dispersed team and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organisational, and planning skills are necessary.
